Exploring the Future of Validation: Semai Aviation at TESKA '26

As a proud member of the İTÜ ARI Teknokent ecosystem, it was an incredibly valuable experience for the Semai Aviation team to attend the inaugural TESKA '26 (Test Engineering, Systems Knowledge and Achievements Symposium). This landmark event, which took place on May 20-21, 2026, aimed to unite the flight testing and flight test engineering disciplines across the defense industry, civil aviation sector, start-up communities, and operational units.

Gaining deep insight into the rigorous testing processes required for systems and subsystems entering the defense industry inventory was truly eye-opening. As a startup dedicated to developing cutting-edge UAV propulsion system test equipment, hearing directly from the test pilots executing the flights, the flight test engineers managing complex processes, and the engineers utilizing critical data analysis provided us with immense takeaways.

Although the symposium's presentations frequently covered complete aerial platforms and weapon systems, the methodologies applied in these test processes yielded highly applicable insights for our work. Understanding the defense industry's broader perspective on system testing—including how to overcome technical challenges during operations and test planning—directly informs and benefits our specific field of high-precision UAV propulsion testing.
